Easy Toasted Pastillas Recipe



INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup fresh whole milk

  • 2 cup full cream powdered milk

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1/4 cup extra sugar (for rolling)

HOW TO COOK:
  1. In a pan, put fresh milk, powdered milk, and sugar. Mix well.

  2. Bring to a boil and cook for about 20 minutes, while constantly stirring on low heat until thick and caramel colored.

  3. Mix in the butter.

  4. Transfer to a bowl and leave to cool.

  5. Cut into strips, then roll into 1/2″ diameter batons. Cut into 2 inch lengths then roll in sugar.

  6. You can also mold into cubes.
